AMPLITuDE
AMPLITUDE combines movement and visual design in a collage of human experience. Five performers shift through states of joy, isolation, levity, effort, intimacy, and connection, suggesting a mystery that is just on the edge of being revealed. Blending Western dance forms with experimental task-driven material, the performers manifest a layered world of unfolding relationships.
The work premiered at Mark Morris Dance Center on September 20th and 21st 2024 as part of TWO DANCES with Emily Kessler/POGO. A work in progress excerpt of the dance was performed in October 2023 at the 14th St Y Theater as part of Pioneers Go East Collective’s Crossroad Series.
